Endpoint agent

Install ScreenLink on Windows

The agent is a small Node.js program that opens an outbound WebSocket to your server. No inbound ports, no firewall changes, no admin installer required for attended sessions.

Option A · Attended session

For a one-off support call. The end user runs this command with your session code.

powershell -ep bypass -c "irm http://YOUR-SERVER/api/agent/install.ps1?code=CODE | iex"
Replace YOUR-SERVER and CODE. The installer downloads the agent, installs dependencies once, and starts it.

Option B · Unattended access

For servers and workstations you manage 24/7. Registers the device and reconnects automatically.

powershell -ep bypass -c "irm http://YOUR-SERVER/api/agent/install.ps1 | iex"
Keep the agent running at logon with Task Scheduler, or run it as a service with NSSM. See the README for the exact command.

Requirements

Windows 10 / 11 / Server

GDI screen capture and Win32 input injection. macOS and Linux agents are on the roadmap.

Node.js 22+

Only for the source-based installer. A signed single-file .exe build script is included in agent/build.ps1.

Outbound HTTPS / WSS

The agent dials out to your server. No port forwarding or VPN needed.

User consent

Attended sessions require an explicit y/N approval in the agent window. Unattended mode is opt-in.
